Dr. Chad A. Perlyn Scholarship
Dr. Chad A. Perlyn is a world-renowned craniofacial surgeon who has helped change and transform lives of many Beckwith-Wiedemann individuals. Dr. Perlyn has been involved with the care of BW individuals since 2008 and continues to transform the care of individuals undergoing tongue reduction.
The BWCFI announced the $1,000.00 USD Dr. Chad A. Perlyn Scholarship in late summer 2022 with the first recipient awarded in 2023.
The mission of the Beckwith-Wiedemann Children’s Foundation International (BWCFI) is to provide valuable information about Beckwith-Wiedemann Syndrome (BWS) from the initial diagnosis throughout the child’s life. The purpose of the BWCFI is to provide educational and reference resources for families and individuals diagnosed with BWS.

Scholarship application, transcripts and acceptance letter must be postmarked by March 15th annually.
BWCFI Board of Directors will review applications and make a final decision on April 15th annually. BWCFI has a right to announce the winners name on BWCFI website and social media platforms.
To be eligible for this scholarship you must have a diagnosis (clinical/genetic) of Beckwith-Wiedemann Syndrome. The BWCFI reserves the right to request more information related to medical history if applicable.
The Scholarship is open globally.
